Kimberley Lifetime Warranty and Service Policy
Sams Group Australia (hereinafter “SGA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is pleased to offer our customers with a lifetime warranty on jewellery purchased through the Company for peace of mind.
All our products are manufactured with the highest quality of materials and expert craftsmanship, with each piece undergoing rigorous quality assurance checks before they are shipped to you. In the rare event that a defect or imperfection is detected, you are invited to send it back to us to be inspected by an SGA jewellery expert.
The jewellery warranty and service policy will remain in place to the client from the date of purchase. The offer is available only on all jewellery sold directly through the SGA’s Pink Kimberley website.
The following conditions apply:
(A) The warranty applies from the date of purchase for as long as you, the purchaser owns the jewellery. Owner lifetime ceases if ownership of the product is subsequently transferred to another party.
(B) SGA’s lifetime warranty covers the cost of repair for defects resulting from workmanship.
It does not cover defects relating to general wear and tear, scratching, damage caused by accidents, neglect or misuse, or any resulting loss of the item or precious stones from the item. If the item has been repaired or modified (or resized) by someone other than SGA the warranty is void.
Items that are covered by the warranty will be repaired free of charge. Items that are not covered will be quoted for repair. If it is determined that the jewellery has been damaged outside the bounds of the warranty, due to unusual or extreme wear or use, the customer will be held liable to pay for all repairs.
The customer is liable for any shipping and/ or insurance to SGA. The warranty will cover shipping costs and insurance from the SGA back to the customer.
SGA will not be held liable for expenses, damage, or any loss incurred while the jewellery is not in possession of the Company. SGA will determine the best way for the jewellery to be returned to the customer.
Due to the nature of this type of jewellery, SGA will not be liable for damage to any chains that break on pendants, necklaces, and bracelets. SGA will not be held liable for damage to ear-backs or other body jewellery.
At the request of a customer, SGA will re-size a ring multiple times - free of charge, within the first year after the date of purchase, with the following conditions:
(A) The ring must be re-sized by SGA, or at an SGA approved service centre with prior approval.
(B) This one-time free re-size will only apply to shanks with no diamonds set on the lower half the shank and will not apply to shanks set with diamonds in their entirety. It is the responsibility of the customer to supply the correct size to SGA prior to ordering rings with diamonds all the way around the shank.
(C) SGA will determine if a ring is resizable.
(D) Rings will only be re-sized within one and a half sizes up or down from their original size, unless SGA in its discretion determines that it can be re-sized beyond this scope.
(E) Re-sizing requested beyond the one-time free offer, will be charged. The cost of a re-size beyond the one-time free offer will be determined by SGA and depend on the individual nature and content of the ring. SGA will inform the customer of the cost of re-sizing prior to implementation.
(F) Any ring re-sized by a 3rd party without the authorization of SGA will automatically forfeit the warranty, and SGA will not be responsible for any costs or damage incurred.
SGA will offer free inspection every year for the natural lifetime of your item. Should any repairs be required, we will discuss with you to decide on the best course of action to return your piece back to its brilliant best.
By purchasing the jewellery from SGA the customer has agreed to the terms of this warranty, without the need to sign an agreement to the warranty.
This warranty only applies going forward as of April 2018.
